My life has been FOREVER changed thanks to Dr. Ortiz, the other wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at OCC. My starting weight was 250lbs. I tried to go through my insurance for VSG in NY but according to them I wasn’t “big enough” so I would have to pay out of pocket (almost 20k!). I’m a Registered Nurse so naturally I did loads of research and decided on OCC. My deciding factor was based on their multiple accreditations, International Joint Commission approval, and patient testimonials. I honestly feel like I got better care in Mexico than I do when I go to the hospital in the states. Everyone was so attentive from the minute I was picked up from the airport until my return home. For the first few weeks I would get weekly calls and emails from the doctors/nutritionists to check up on me. And if I ever had a problem or questions, they would respond within 24hrs! OCC’s attention to detail, customer service and overall devotion to their patients health & well being is second to none. This was the BEST DECISION I ever made for myself. If you’re still debating, just stop, pick-up the phone and call OCC!
