Procedure Received: Gastric Sleeve
Here is it…today marks 6 months since I had my gastric sleeve surgery! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again…best decision ever!! In the last 6 months I’ve lost 44 lbs. Since last October knowing what I was going to get myself into, I’ve lost a grand total of 87 lbs!! I have gained so much knowledge on what I can and can’t do in the gym!! I don’t even know where to begin… After working so hard on trying to lose weight for as long as I can remember…maybe 10 + years…(Weight Watchers, Atkin’s Diet, Code Red, fad diets) I feel like I never really accomplished anything… until October 2021… I decided that I wanted to do a major surgery. May 8th I took a flight to Tijuana, Mexico and May 9th I got the Gastric Sleeve Surgery! Dr. Ortiz at OCC, cut my stomach and left what was a shape of a banana. I couldn’t have done this without my support system. My ultimate goal in life is to be healthy. I have started a new lifestyle and do not regret having this surgery…not even for one second. My only thought is… why didn’t I do this sooner?? Here’s to a new lease on life!! Up until about a month ago I’m really starting to like the way I look. I couldn’t tell you the last time I was under 200 lbs or in a size 16 and can nearly fit in a medium shirt!! I met some amazing women the same day I had surgery. In fact, they had the same surgery! We started to chat and now after almost 6 months post-op will have continued to chat and help each other out when we have questions or feeling down. I can do anything I put my heart into!
